Phyllis Thomason Yarger

Phyllis Thomason Yarger, age 65, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Monday, June 22, 2015, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Phyllis was born November 30, 1949, in Miller County, Arkansas, to James and Blanche Thomason. She worked in the clothing manufacturing industry in Atlanta; was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and loved giving flowers and angels as gifts for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. Thomason and Blanche Selman; and two brothers, James Ray Thomason and Charles W. Thomason. She is survived by her husband, David Yarger of Atlanta, Texas; step-daughter, Elizabeth Yarger English and husband Gregory of Texarkana, Texas; four brothers and five sisters-in-law, Ara and Kay Thomason of Grapevine, Texas, Harland and Dolly Thomason of Fredricksburg, Texas, Rodger and Connie Thomason of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Royce and Sharon Thomason of Atlanta, Texas and Elaine Thomason of Round Top, Texas; two sisters, Gloria Thomason Sheffield of Spring, Texas, Linda and Gary Orr of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 27, 2015, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chris Cowan officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2015, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church New Sanctuary Fund, 3268, Texas Hwy 77 West, Atlanta, Texas 75551.
