Lois Helen Cooke

Lois Sain Cooke, 96 of Vale, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Cardinal Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Lincolnton. Born in Catawba County, she was a daughter of Charles Edward Sain and Leila Pruett Sain. She was retired from Franks Hosiery Mill and was a member of Hulls Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Roy A. Cook; sister, Mary Lail; and six brothers, Fred Sain, Howard Sain, Everette Sain, Avery Sain, Forrest Sain and Billy Sain. Survivors include She is survived by her son, Carroll Cooke and wife Barbara of Lowesville; daughter, Hazel Sain and husband Larry of Vale; brother, Ray Sain of Hickory; three grandchildren Rocky Cooke, Tonya Maranto, and Amy Shipp; nine great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Hulls Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Travis Elmore, Bobby Farmer, and Marcus Redding officiating. Memorials may be made to Hulls Grove Baptist Church, 6670 NC-27, Vale, NC 28168. A guest register is available at www.stameytysingerfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysigner Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston.
