Joseph DeClemente

<p>Joseph DeClemente, formerly of West Hempstead, NY passed peacefully on Wednesday July 15, 2020 at his home in Titusville, Florida. Joe has gone on to join Marie, his loving wife of 58 years, in the peace and glory of God&rsquo;s embrace.</p> <p>He is survived by his son Stephen, daughter in law Heather and grandson Shane; his daughter Janice, son in law Jim and grandchildren Joe and Jamie; his son Todd; brother Benny and wife Lorraine; sister Patty; many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren who will all miss Joe dearly. He was predeceased by his father Carmine and mother Vincenza DeClemente.</p> <p>As a young man, Joe proudly served our nation in the United States Air Force and while stationed in Burtonwood, England he met the love of his life Marie. Soon after, Joe proposed to Marie and before his tour in England ended, they were married. Upon return the United States with his new bride, and excited to build a family and a home, Joe began a career with Pan Am Airlines as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist that lasted over thirty years. When Pan Am&rsquo;s closed their doors, Joe took a position with American Airlines continued working on Aircraft for another twenty years. During his five decades in the Airline industry, Joe built relationships with many people who remember him as a skilled mechanic who worked hard and led by example, a dedicated family man who coached sports teams with his children, and a man who would always be there for his friends.</p> <p>A gathering of family and friends and viewing will be held by the family at Beckman-Williams Funeral Home in Viera, Florida on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 4-6 PM. A graveside service with honors will follow at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, where he will be interred with honors.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the &nbsp;American Cancer Society.</p>
