<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>David V. Kovash, 83, passed away July 13, 2020 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.&nbsp; David lived at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, along with his spouse, Bonnie, prior to his hospitalization in Casper, WY.</p> <p>One of four children of Vincent and Lena (Shypkowski) Kovash, he was born September 17, 1936 in Belfield, North Dakota.&nbsp; He served in the US Army from 1959-1961.</p> <p>David married Bonnie Lacy Smith June 21, 1987 in Thermopolis, WY.&nbsp; The blended family lived in Thermopolis after their marriage.&nbsp; David was employed as a heavy equipment operator for road construction and also worked in oil fields in the area .</p> <p>A member of First Baptist Church, he served as a greeter for member years, helped with Bible School, enjoyed reading the Bible and going to church.</p> <p>He was accomplished in laying flagstone rock and retaining walls. &nbsp;He carried out lunches for about 20 years for the Senior Center. &nbsp;A real gentleman, he enjoyed visiting with friends and everyone who knew him loved him.</p> <p>Cherishing his memory is his wife, Bonnie; his sons, David of Oklahoma and Tom of Salt Lake City, UT; stepchild Carrie Carson Johnson of Salt Lake City; sister, Francis Heiser of Belfield, ND; and grandchildren, Logan, Abby, Phinneaus and Payton.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Irene and Mike Mauro; stepson, Sam Smith and stepdaughter, Connie Smith Hoyer; and three nephews.</p> <p>Memorial services will be held at a later date.&nbsp; Memorials may be given in David&rsquo;s name to the H.S. Co. David V. Kovash, 83, passed away July 13, 2020 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.  David lived at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, along with his spouse, Bonnie, prior to his hospitalization in Casper, WY.

One of four children of Vincent and Lena (Shypkowski) Kovash, he was born September 17, 1936 in Belfield, North Dakota.  He served in the US Army from 1959-1961.
