Marvin Wilfred Leveque Obituary

Marv’s journey began on June22, 1954 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. He attended Snowden Elementary School and then attended William Mason High school. It is here I met the love of my life. Our journey began on August 5, 1972 in Calgary, Alberta. We were blessed with the arrival of a daughter Christine on December 2, 1973 and a son, Michael, on the same day in 1975. He was and is many things- son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, nephew, cousin, friend and a pain in the ass. He could do anything- drive stock car, semi, plow truck, Cat and me crazy with the shit he would try. He could build anything- your house or our home. If there was wood or steel – screw it or weld it. He could fix just about anything trucks, pumps, skidoo’s, your heart, but sadly not his own. He was very proud of our kids on how they have grown and succeeded. He loved playing ball, curling, or cards. The Snowden sports day was a big deal, not for just the pie. His favorite things other than us, was the cabin at Maynard with the last few years enjoying shot night with the boys at the gun club. It was never about how well or bad he shot but the B.S. with the “old guys” after. He taught us ( me and the kids) always do your best, make it right, take your time, work smart not hard, think it through. He would be up in the morning with coffee ready for me so that we could have a cup together. Me: I’m off to work Marv: Ok then Me: See you when I get back Marv: You bet!, I’ll be here. We are all left with a lifetime of memories: Our daughter Christine (Glenn)- Riley, Tysen, Reese, Alex, Sheldon and Morgan Our son Mike (Crystal) –Richelle and Deven His brothers: Melvin (Heather), Glen (Geloris), Murray (Brenda) , Larry Sisters in law: Doris (George) Barks, Carol Seidel, Cora Mardell, Della (Ron) Smith His aunt: Stella Serfas Numerous Nieces, Nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Kevin. Grandparents Alex and Mary: Mother Marina: In-laws Henry and Ella Erdman and brother-in- law Dale Seidel. Several Aunts and Uncles. “Today I know that he is cutting carrots and cucs for Dude, Fishing with Uncle Orv, Having Tea and Tarts with Auntie Vicky, Coffee with his Mom Marina, fixing something my mom Ella broke and sitting on the deck with my dad Henry.” Till we meet again........Beryl Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Melfort Gun Club.
