Ronald E. Tomlin of Stone Mountain, GA, age 58, died November 20, 2005, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and spent most of his life in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a graduate of the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, and he received a Master's degree from the University of Mississippi. He was a Certified Records Manager. Mr. Tomlin had a life-long love of music, and for many years he was a member of several choirs and choral groups. However, his greatest joy in life was his family and especially his daughter, Emily Elisabeth. She was a blessing to him, and he was an especially loving father who spent many hours with her. She brought him great joy. In addition to his daughter, he leaves his loving wife of 31 years, Mary Evelyn. He is also survived by his twin sister, Peggy Pauling of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Durand Tomlin of Lake Mary, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Frazer Center, 1815 Ponce de Leon Avenue, NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. A memorial service will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons Wednesday, November 23rd at 11 a.m., Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at A. S. Turner & Sons.
