<p>Richard Neil Campbell, age 77, Centerville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.&nbsp; Neil was born on January 11, 1943 in Borger, Texas the son of Maxwell Richard and Irene May Frakes Campbell.&nbsp; He graduated from Edgerton High School.&nbsp; Neil was a 25 year sheet metal worker and belonged to the Sheet Metal Worker&rsquo;s Local #2.&nbsp; Neil and Michele have been married 40 years. In 2004, they moved from Edgerton Kansas and made their home in Linn County.&nbsp; Neil enjoyed everything outdoors and had a passion for gardening. Upon arrival in Linn County he immediately opened a greenhouse to share his love of plants. That grew into the business he and his wife started, Campbell Gardens. For many years he grew the many jalapenos needed for their business. He also planted a 650 tree walnut grove and enjoyed maintaining his property&rsquo;s park-like appearance. Neil took great pleasure in hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, attending Friday Office meetings, and most of all his family and friends.&nbsp; He was a proud member of the local Rusty Zipper Club.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Raymond Keith and a stepmother, Eula Secrest.&nbsp; Neil is survived by his wife, Michele, two sons, Kent Campbell, and Greg Mealman (Krista), a daughter, Dana Caruthers (Russ), two sisters, Maxine Klamm and Carolyn Hammon, five grandchildren, Keaton, Kara, Gracen, Katie and Jacob, three great grandchildren, Carter, Jersie and Knox, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Graveside Celebration of Life will be in Centerville, Ks at the Centerville Cemetery on August 1st, 10am. The family would love to have memories shared at that time.&nbsp; The family asks that we respect each other by maintaining social distancing and using a face mask. &nbsp;In Lieu of flowers and to acknowledge Neil&rsquo;s love of the outdoors the family suggests planting a tree in Neil&#39;s memory.&nbsp;&nbsp;Go to www.schneiderfunerals.com and click on floral store to have a tree planted in a national forest.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
