Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Green

Deborah “Debbie” McClelland Green, 65, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Born July 5, 1955, in Avon Park, FL, she was the daughter of the late Milton McClelland and the late Lottie Joiner. She married Bro.Howard Green in July of 1977, and they have spent 43 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker, and spent most of her time taking care of her family. She loved her kids and grandkids, and didn’t let anyone “mess” with her family. She loved sewing, reading, and tending to her flowers. A very kind and sweet lady, she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Green family. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11:00am at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation time with the family on Saturday from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Cody Childress and Bro. Doc Kelly will be officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tommy Green, Joey Trussell, Rick Whidden, Harold Green, Cedric Harvey, Chase Harston, Austin Green, and Keith York. Honorary Pallbearer will be Doc Kelly She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Howard Green; daughter, Amy Kristin Trussell (Joey) of Gore Springs; son, Thomas Charles Green (Tinika) of Vardaman; sisters, Susie Joiner, Bonnie Joiner King, and Mary Regina Joiner, all of Naples, FL; brother, Billy Joiner (Dottie) of Everglade City, FL; grandchildren, Chase Harston, Raina Harston, Alyssa Green, Hannah Green, Josie Santiago, Brantley Santiago; and great-grandchild, Baylee Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Milton McClelland and Donald Joiner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at pryorfuneralhome.com. Pryor Funeral Home takes the health of our staff, our families, our visitors, and our community very seriously, and we are adhering to guidelines set forth by President Trump and Gov. Tate Reeves. At this time, we are asking everyone to support the limited gathering and visitation policy set by our government officials. We will be allowing small family groups and limiting the number of people in family rooms to 10 at one time at visitations, as well as funerals at the funeral home. For graveside services, we will be asking everyone to also comply with the required social distancing space of six feet. We’re also advising against hand-shaking, hugging, kissing and other intimate contact, and encourage the use of face masks.
