<p>Mr. William Anderson Terry, 96, of Denmark, SC passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. The family will have a visitation from five to eight p.m., Wednesday, July 15th at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC. A funeral service will be held at eleven a.m., Central Time, Friday, July 17th in Kentucky at Hatcher Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, KY with the Reverend Matt Thomas officiating; burial will be in the Hiseville Cemetery, Hiseville, KY.</p> <p>Born in Glasgow, KY; he was the son of the late Will Terry, Jr. and Emma Grace Anderson Terry and was married to the late Bettylou Richmond Terry. He received his undergraduate and his graduate degrees from Michigan State University. Mr. Terry was a beef cattle consultant for the American Angus Association. He was an avid historian and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denmark where he taught the Pastor&rsquo;s Sunday School Class Bible History for 15 years. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served as a Combat Marine in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Mr. Terry was an aviation enthusiast and enjoyed flying in his small airplanes. He loved carpentry and enjoyed renovating his home; he enjoyed being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing or sailing on his boat that he built.</p> <p>Survivors include his daughters Gail (Dana) Morgan of Gaffney, SC, Sallie (Charles) Dewar of Lexington, KY, and Nancy (John) Lucas of Charleston, SC; his granddaughters Katherine Williams of Gaffney, SC, Chelsea (Jon) Peeler of Gaffney, SC and Sophia Dewar of Lexington, KY; his great grandchildren Stephanie, Malcolm, and Crusoe; a nephew Michael (Anita) Shearer and their daughter Jeannie Shearer; two nieces Judy (David) Blakeman and their sons Will and Michael Blakeman, and Linda (Tom) Speed and their children Savannah and Marc Speed; his faithful caregiver Susan Rickenbaker and his faithful cat Miss Kitty.</p> <p>In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Victoria Shearer.</p>
