Robert “Bob” A. Priest, Jr., 83, of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at The Greens in Pinehurst. He was born October 8, 1936, in Scotland County, son of Robert A. Priest, Sr. and Virgie Bristow Priest. Mr. Priest was a veteran of the US Army, a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church for over 45 years, and worked over twenty years for Southern Builders. He help in the construction of Kings Gate Church, Cordova School, Richmond Primary School, just to name a few; working in Richmond, Scotland and Moore counties. He was a devoted husband and had a strong faith. He was proud of his military career and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, with a limited number of guest that are encouraged to wear face coverings and social distance. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette Priest, which died in May; and a son, John Priest. Survivors include his daughters, Belinda Bowers (Mickey) of Hamlet, Robin Brindle (Carl) of Madisonville, TN., Vickie Banditelli (Louis) of Lenoir and Patti Priest of Rockingham; son, Joseph Priest of Hamlet; sister, Betty Hathcock of Ft.
