Glen Redford Obituary

Glen Redford, age 81, of Horse Cave, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Medical Center at Caverna. He was a native of Hart County and a member of Clear Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a Tobacco buyer with Moss Tobacco in Horse Cave and then with Dimon Tobacco (formerly Mullins Leaf), In Mullins, SC, where he became a supervisor. He was a lifelong farmer, raising beef cows and tobacco. He loved his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Redford; his parents, German Redford and Vernis Thompson Redford; one sister, Emilie Deweese; a nephew, Michael Dennison.

He is survived by one step-daughter, Tonya Neagle and her husband, Jason, of Elizabethtown; one sister, Mabel Johnson and her husband, Harold of Cave City; one brother, James A. Redford of Bowling Green; four nieces, one nephew, and a host of friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Linda Willis, Teresa Green, Dorothy Crain, Anita Matthews, and Sharon Wilkerson for taking such good care of Glen.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 17 at Winn Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 16 at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
