Jerome Joseph Boies Sr, 77, died in Largo, Florida on July 11th 2020. Born and raised in Lancaster, NY, He will be remembered for being the best brother, father, and loving PaPa. He moved to Largo in 1974 with his family where he retired from the USPS and Pinellas County Parks as a Ranger. Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp; he was a family man who loved God and country, an avid sports fan, a great coach, and enjoyed westerns and all things cowboy; especially the Duke, John Wayne. PaPa’s favorite pastime was pool time & cookouts with family always with maple baked beans! He was a devoted member of St Jerome’s Catholic Church. He is survived in death by his beloved sister Annette Boies-Lobl (Henry), his sister-in-law Patricia Slater (John), his wife of many years, Virginia DeMaio Corey, and his children, Kelly Thompson (Larry), Jerome Boies, Jr, and Kimberly Cain. Papa was dedicated to his grandchildren Michael, Haley, Michaela, & Austin Cain, Jacob & Benjamin Thompson, and Lexi Boies. He was a loving Papa with his two great grandchildren Luna Boies and Elijah Cain. He was a caring uncle to Amy, Steve, Annie & Henry Riek, Marc, Katy, Brittany & Austin Boies and Michael Boies. Included in his family were Jamie & Olivia Corey. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Antoinette Boies, brother Hank Boies, and sisters Barbara and Mary Boies. Interment will take place at the Bay Pines National Cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbell Funeral Home.
