Mr Braxton Bobbitt, son of the late Mr. Bradley R. and Maggie N. Sinclair Bobbitt was born June 06, 1937 in in Saint Paul, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life on July 13, 2020 at his home. He was married to the late Vonnie Marie Barnett on August 19, 1995 He attended Durham County Public School and graduated from Hillside High school. Braxton proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seaman. After his service, he worked at Goldkist and the VA Hospital, but pursued a trade as a painter. He spent most of his life working as a painter for a local company in Durham North Carolina. Braxton enjoyed spending time with his family, going to North Carolina Central University basketball and football games, taking road trips with his social club throughout his younger years. He looked forward to holidays and special occasions to spend more quality time with his family. He loved watching sports, especially cheering for the Redskins Football team. He was preceded in death by his two brothers Edward and Preston Bobbitt and sister Lorena Bobbitt. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Sheila Bobbitt and son Ryan (Sharon) Chavis Sr all of Durham, NC; two sisters Lee Ella Bobbitt and Annie L Hayes of Durham, NC; Three brothers, Willie, Freddie and Ronnie Bobbitt all of Durham, NC; grandchildren Cedrick Graham, Sereena Chavis, and Ryan Chavis Jr all of Durham; One sister-in –law Patricia Bobbitt of MD and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
