Mrs. Syble Woodlee, age 77, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Austell, GA following a brief illness. She was born in Aragon, GA on March 6, 1943 a daughter of the late J.W. Elmer Ward and the late Vassie Ilene Edwards Ward. Mrs. Woodlee lived her childhood years in Aragon and had made her home in Powder Springs since the early 1970's. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Villa Rica. Survivors include her husband, Victor Woodlee of Powder Springs to whom she was married on April 4, 1965; two sons: Jeff Covington (Jennifer), Douglasville and Len Covington (Lori), Bremen; five grandchildren: Julie Staton, Michele Fields, Toni Covington ,Scott Covington and Zachary Covington; five great grandchildren: Macy Staton, Carter Staton, Lily Covington, Levi Covington and Waylen Fields; brother, Jimmy Ward, Taylorsville and a nephew, Shane Ward, Douglasville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Sam Edwards, Brother Eddie Allen and her brother Jimmy Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Matthew Staton, Kyle Fields, Scott Covington, Zachary Covington, Shane Ward and Bailey Ward. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home. Social distancing regulations are to be applied at the visitation and funeral service. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Syble Woodlee.
