Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Kay Bateman Johnston will be held Friday at 2pm at Barham Funeral Home, Forest Lawn Chapel. Dr. Corey Fontan will be officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Mr. Johnston, 65, of Enterprise, passed away Monday at Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She retired from Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse. Mrs. Johnston was a loving, caring and compassionate person but was not afraid to state her opinion. She loved her family, especially her grandbabies and was the matriarch of the family.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years Davey Johnston; daughter Sarah Johnston McTaggart and husband Randle; son Jonathan Lee Johnston and fiancé Laurie; brothers Steve Bateman and wife Paula, Larry Bateman and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Randle McTaggart Jr. and Isabella McTaggart. Mrs. Johnston was also survived by her niece April and nephews Nathan, Daniel, William and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents J.D. and Sarah Bateman and stepson Carey Lee Johnston.
Visitation will be from 12pm until service time at the funeral home.
