Milton Cain

Milton Cain, 56, of Laurel, IN, formerly of Jackson Co.,KY passed away on December 10, 2015 at 12:40 PM at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Milton was born at home in Jackson County on June 1, 1959 to Luther & Della (Rose) Cain. He was a 1977 graduate of Jackson County High School. Milton was a beloved husband to his wife, Cathy, of Laurel, IN, he was the father to Bradley M. (wife Amy) Cain of Rushville, IN, Dustin C. Cain of Rushville, IN & Trevor Cain at home, papaw to Quentin Gallagher Cain, Elise Sue Ann Cain & Nolan Cain. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Birchley (Melvie) Cain, Hallie (Berchel) Lakes, Shirley (Faye) Cain, Wilma Faye (Warren) Lakes, Devon (Maxine) Cain, Virgil (Violet) Cain, Sharon (Kenneth) Malicote, Mitchel (Teresa) Cain, sister-in-law, Kathy Cain, former wife and mother to Bradley & Dustin, Benda Wilson Cain and best friends, Randy (Rhonda) Smith & Ron (Erika) Chudzinski. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Winston. Milton was known for being a wonderful husband, father, papaw and brother as well as friend to many...to know Milt was to love him. He was a Union Carpenter, Sign maker and master craftsman. He was an avid fisherman who caught the catch of his life with Cathy. He made his visions come true even through his battle with cancer. Their log home was having his hands make beautiful editions to their property, building a new dock with paver patio were just a few of his last projects. To say that they were done meticulously is an understatement. He was diligent in making sure it was 'done right'. Milton always had his faith in the Lord but he was saved and baptized on November 28, 2015. Pastor Lenny Jones, with whom he shared a special bond, performed his baptism and was assisted by Devon Cain & Ron Chudzinski. Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Big Hill Holiness Church with Pastor Lenny Jones presiding. Burial will be in the Cook Cemetery. Memorial contibutions may be to the Habitat for Humanity or to the family to help with expenses.
