Stanley Lou Kline, 82, of Beecher City, IL passed away at 5:28 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at home. Lou was born on June 18, 1938, in Loudon Township in Fayette County, the son of Curtis Murl and Lera Leola (Rickett) Kline. Lou and Nelda Wood were united in holy matrimony on August 20, 1955 and were blessed with 64 years of marriage. Lou farmed in the Beecher City area, did custom harvesting, drove a school bus for the Beecher City Community Unit School District #20 from 1974 – 2015 and worked for Clough Trucking as a mechanic. He was a member of the Spring Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as a church elder. Lou also served on the Board of Directors for the Spring Hill and Pleasant Grove Cemeteries. Surviving are his wife, Nelda Kline of Beecher City; children: Diana Lynne (Clayton) Heil of Effingham, Paula Luann (Zale) Rohwedder of Altamont, Wanda Joyce Kline of Mattoon and Susan Jeane (Jim) Hoxsey of Donnellson; daughter-in-law, Georgiana Kaye Kline of Beecher City; brother, Jerry Kline of Decatur; half-sister, Doris (Dave) Hartley of Tomah, WI; 16 grandchildren: Christopher (Nicole) Heil, Travis (Whitney) Heil, Derrick (Tiffany) Kline, Annika Kline, Brandi (Bob) Davis, Curtis (Lexi) Kline, Darla (Ray) Eason, Emily Rohwedder, Kristina Esker, Daniel Rush, Stanley Esker, Jeremy Branson, Jessica Branson, Philip (Kara) Edwards, Sheena (Jake) Murphy and Becky (Joe Gasper) Edwards; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and granddaughter-in-law, Jessica Dye. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Arthur Curtis Kline; grandson, Jason Dye; great-grandson, Hank Habing and brother, Bradley “Butch” Kline. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Don Miller officiating. Burial will take place in Spring Hill Cemetery in rural Beecher City. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Beecher City High School. Memorials may be made in Lou’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Spring Hill Cemetery Association.
