Lee Brian Tracy Obituary

Lee Brian Tracy 71 of Altadena, California left this earth too young on January 11, 2017. He leaves behind his best friend and beloved husband Steven Tracy, who have been together for 33 years, but only recently married August 1, 2013. Lee was an avid hiker who loved to introduce new people to the adventure and community of hiking. No one was ever a stranger and he never left anyone behind. Lee was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 13, 1945 to Frank B. and Matilda D. Yagl. The youngest of his two brothers Frank (Jeannette deceased) Yagl, Ohio and William (Virginia deceased) Yagl, Ohio. He was also loved and adored by his Sister's in law Paula (Charley) Crandall, West Virginia, Kimberly (Scott) Shough, West Virginia and Debra George, New York. Brother's in law Paul George Jr.(deceased) and Rickey George, West Virigina, and mother in law Rose George, West Virginia. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend Robert (Bobbie) Cramer, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. His love of family and friends was unconditional; no one ever felt alone or unwanted with him. His big heart and smile was such a joy to many. He worked for Ohio Bell in Cleveland, Ohio from 1964 to 1976, then transferred to Los Angeles, CA to work for Pacific Bell till 1995 in which he took a hiatus from work. Shorty after his hiatus he returned to communications working for Telepacific in Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of the So Cal Happy Hour Back packing club and Early Bird Hikers. Along with hiking Lee also enjoyed photography, traveling (especially to Hawaii), honu, Pink Floyd, humming birds and the numerous plants he nurtured. Services will be held at the Altadena Community Church, 943 East Altadena Dr, Altadena, CA 91001, on Friday January 20, 2017 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Lee's name to the go fund me account for the memorial bench to be placed on Echo Mountain.
