Susan Marie Meader
<p>Susan “Sue” Marie Meader, 74, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at her home. She was born on April 16, 1946, in Keokuk, the daughter of Vincent and Jenny (Land) Schevers. Sue was raised in Keokuk and was a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School.</p> <p>On October 3, 1970, Sue was united in marriage with Douglas Meader in Cedar Rapids. Two children were born to this union. The family lived in the Marion area for many years before moving to Manchester. Sue did childcare in her home and was a homemaker.</p> <p>Sue enjoyed reading and doing cross stitching. She also liked working on puzzles. Sue loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.</p> <p>Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Douglas Meader of Manchester; one son, Wayne (Karen) Meader of Marion; one daughter, Shannon Simonsen of Eldon; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jonathon Simonsen; their father, Chris; and one sister, Margaret Kay of Cedar Rapids.</p> <p>Sue was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vincent and Michael Schevers; and one sister, Carolyn Thompson.</p> <p>.</p>Obituary
