<p style="text-align: justify;">Lydia Rotenberger 94 of Oakes, North Dakota, formerly of Gwinner, North Dakota died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society, Oakes, North Dakota.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Lydia was born on October 4, 1922, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Wirtz) Kempel near Lisbon, North Dakota. She was raised near Crete, North Dakota and graduated from Crete High School. Lydia was united in marriage to Emanuel Rotenberger on September 20, 1942. They farmed north of Lisbon until moving to a farm northwest of Stirum, North Dakota in 1946. They continued to farm until moving to Gwinner in 1967. Lydia worked for Dahl&rsquo;s Supervalu and the Lisbon Community Hospital.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Lydia enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and baking. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years. Lydia cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Lydia is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dennis) Bohnenkamp of Oakes, ND; son, Randy (Mary) Rotenberger of Gwinner, ND; five grandchildren, Rhonda (Brad) Breitbach, Chad (Reva) Bohnenkamp, Megan (Todd) Fuerst, Joshua Rotenberger and Alyssa Rotenberger; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister, Frances Fadness of Fargo, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emanuel (1978) and eleven siblings.</p>
