Leona May Adermann Obituary

Leona M Adermann, 86 of Forman, formerly of Gwinner, North Dakota died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Four Season Healthcare Center, Forman, North Dakota.

Leona was born on May 6, 1931 the daughter of Reinhold and Amy (Whitfield) Bartell in Silverleaf, North Dakota. She graduated from Gwinner High School in 1949. Leona attended college at Valley City State Teachers College and NDSU. She taught at a country school for two years. Leona was united in marriage to Lloyd Adermann on June 6, 1952 in Lisbon. They made their home in rural Gwinner, where Leona raised their five children and helped with daily operation of the farm. She also was the activity director at the Four Season Healthcare center for a few years.

Leona was a member of Homemakers Club, 4H,  Zion Lutheran Church, serving as treasure for a time and was also active with church circle. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing piano and bird watching.

Leona is survived by her two daughters, Darla (Cam) Seelye; Carol (LeRoy) Hintz; three sons, Laverne (Eva) Adermann; Robert Adermann and Stanley (Robin Savage) Adermann; nine grandchildren; seventeen greatgrandchildren; sisters, Alice Bartell and Janet (Gerald) VanBruggen; brothers, Henry and George Bartell; brother-in-law, Larry Cone; numerous nieces and nephews.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd (2016), sister, Elsie Cone, sisters-in-law, Vera and Barbara Bartell.
