In 2015, she proudly became a US Citizen. She continued to help raise the next generation as well, looking after her great-nephews RJ & Ari, and great-niece Rosie. She loved cooking, gardening, watching Filipino soap operas, attending NY Yankee games, and going on vacations, especially to visit family back in the Philippines. The only thing she loved more than family was her dog Gizmo, who passed away earlier this year. They are happily reunited. A private funeral and burial of Janet will take place on Monday, July 13, 2020.
