Emma Mae Breshears, age 84, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, January 28, 2017 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK surrounded by her family. Emma was born on July 14, 1932 to Simon and Nellie (Morton) Hallum in Haskell, OK. She was a 1950 graduate of Haskell High School. Emma and Marion Franklin "Bud" Breshears were married on April 1, 1950 in Van Buren, AR. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. Emma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, ceramics, collecting barbies, working on family genealogy and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, 1 granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Kennedy and 2 brothers, Junior Hallum and Jimmy Hallum. Emma is lovingly survived by her husband of 66 years, Bud Breshears of the home in Coweta, OK; 4 children, Buddy Breshears and wife, Diane of Park Hill, OK, Kathy Frost and husband, Bud of South Coffeyville, OK, Diana Garrett and husband, Terry of Neosho, MO and David Breshears of Coweta, OK; 2 brothers, Alvin Hallum and Jerry Hallum; 5 sisters, Betty Muller, Joyce Sack, Sharon Clark, Wanda Snyder and Janice Hallum; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing for Emma will be from 2-8 PM on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Emma's life will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery in Stone Bluff, OK. Pallbearers are Buck Frost, Keith Frost, Matthew Breshears, BJ Breshears, Mikey Breshears, Kaylob Kennedy and Joshua Garrett.
