HARPER, Thomas Wyatt, 53, passed away at his residence in Wetumpka on Friday, May 9, 2014 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, at 3:00 p.m. from Santuck Baptist Church, with Rev. Chad Middlebrooks and Chaplain Douglas McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Grier Cemetery. Tommy is survived by his wife, Melondie K Harper; children, Ricky (Kelly) Harper, Larry Harper, Rob Bohannon, Wesley (Deavin) Bohannon, Tonya Wright and Sydney Criswell Harper; brother, Jamie (Wanda) Harper; sisters Vicky Parsons and Cindy (Phillip) Moore, and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Diane Harper, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ricky Harper, Austin Harper, Dalton Harper, Jamie Harper, Tanner Williams, Rob Bohannon, Wes Bohannon and Lil' Lonnie Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Stringer, Larry Harper, Charlie Penson, Kyle Harper, Korey Dawson and Mike Hicks. The family will receive friends at Santuck Baptist Church from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, prior to services. Contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
