Our Angel in Flight

“In my life, I had come to realize that, when things were going very well, indeed, it was just the time to anticipate trouble. And, conversely, I learned from pleasant experience that at the most despairing crisis, when all looked sour beyond words, some delightful “break” was apt to lurk just around the corner." - Amelia Earhart

With profound sadness we release our daughter, sister, mother, cousin and favourite friend, Karen, out to another world.  We are left with broken hearts and a void that we will fill with 47 years of memories, love and laughter.

Karen's spirit of adventure and love for travel and flying motivated her to first get her engineering ticket, and her pilots license for fixed wing then finally her helicopter pilots license which she was immensely proud of but also humble about. She was a real 'tough guy'.

She was a certified diver, a lover of the beach and the west coast and country music, a dedicated mother who completely loved Mason who was her whole world, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

"If you live to be one hundred let me live to be one hundred less one day so I never have to live without you." - A.A. Milne

Karen's family thanks each and every one of you for the love and support.
