Anthony James William Cerra Obituary

 

 

Anthony James William Cerra, age 77 of Nine Mile Falls, Washington passed away July 2, 2020, from lung cancer while at home.  He was born in San Jose, California on December 23, 1942.  He is survived by his wife, Jean O’Sharps; Duaghter and son-in-law, Tracy and Tracy Gibson; Son and daughter in law, Tony and Kimberly Cerra; Step son, Matthew Sharps of North Carolina and Megan Matern of Deer Park, Washington, and siblings, Bernie and Jim Roberts of Livermore, California, Benny Cerra of Springfield, Tennessee, Sammy Cerra of San Jose, California, Richard and Diane Cerra of San Jose, California, and David Lee Cerra of Pleasanton, California.  He also leaves behind, his nephews, Michael and Jimmy, nieces, Missy, Jenny and Jamie, his grandchildren, Travis and Shelby Gibson, Anthony Cerra, Carly Findley-Dickson and Christopher Freidman and 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Travis John and Anthony Silasto to cherish his loving memory.  He is preceded in death by his father, James Louis Cerra, Mother, Mary Micelli Cerra and brother, Jimmy Cerra.  In his younger years Tony was quite the rebel, after getting married and having children, he settled down and was a devoted father a great provided for his family and a loyal friend.  He was very proud of his children, not for the choices they made, but for the adults they have both become!  One of Tony’s favorite memories was going hunting with his grandsons and them shooting him his deer.  Hunting and fishing were Tony’s passion, his friends named him “the coyote” and the game warden called him daily!!  Tony was a Muhamed Ali fanatic, never did he miss an Ali Fight and has a nice collection of memorabilia.  Some other things he enjoyed were riding roller coasters, ice skating, swimming across the rapids at Bowl and Pitcher Park in Spokane, Washington.  Tony will be deeply missed, always loved, remembered and never forgotten by those he has left behind.
