Brenden Christopher Johnson Vandergrift, Pennsylvania Obituary

Brenden Christopher Johnson

Brenden Christopher Johnson died unexpectedly on July 2, 2020. Born in Leesburg, VA on December 7, 1991, he was the son of Christopher Lee and Margaret Kingirski Johnson of Upper St. Clair. Brenden loved football and played it at every school he went to. He was called “The Tank” by his peers because of his size and ability to open the opponent’s line; a surprise to his parents because he was a very tiny baby at birth. But Brenden needed his size to carry the gentle soul within him. He loved people, animals, and cars. Friends knew that he was a guy to depend on. Family came first for him including Jack, his black lab, who rode ‘shotgun’ in Brenden’s red Mustang throughout high school and beyond until he crossed the Rainbow Ridge to wait for Brenden. Brenden was preceded in death by his sister Jacqui Raquel Johnson; paternal grandfather Harold Chester Johnson of Fargo, ND; his paternal “Gramps” Charles Thomas Kingirski formerly of Vandergrift; Great-aunt Patricia Sunday; Great-uncle Martin Sunday; and his cousin Jeffery Sunday. He is survived by his parents; his paternal grandma Beverly LaFrenz Johnson of Fargo, ND; Uncle Timothy (Sarah) Johnson, Aunt Rachel (Terry) Olstad; and cousins, William and Trygve Olstad of Minnesota. His extended paternal family will miss his smile: his maternal Gramma Janice Presensky Kingirski formerly of Vandergrift; Great-uncle and Godfather Charles (Shinobu) Presensky Jr.; Great-great-great-aunt Alberta Reznicki Presensky; Aunt Sondra Lee (Patrick) Strong; his Godmothers, Bernice (David) Tessier and Charlotte (Grace) Presensky; and many cousins: Chris (Amy) Sunday, Jennifer Sunday, Charles Sunday, Amanda (Howard) Vokes, Edward Piovesan, Charles Piocesan, Kimberly Cole, and John Cole. Brenden’s extended Pollack, Bonnoni, Jack, Terris, Muller, Cox, and Jaroszeski families will miss his sparkling, blue eyes as he tells jokes as well as his friends, the Gamble family, who watched him grow up during his visits down the street. Rest in Peace. A private burial will take place at a later time in accordance with The Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home Inc. 2842 River Road Vandergrift, PA (724) 567-7006. Online condolences may be made at Gamblefh.com.
