Michael "Mike" Lewis Milton, Florida Obituary

Michael "Mike" Lewis

Michael "Mike" Lewis, 62, of Pace, Florida, joined his parents in heaven on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Born September 22, 1957, Michael was from Pensacola, Florida, and was the youngest of two children of Robert and Voncile Lewis. He was a graduate of Woodham High School and PJC. He was a millwright at International Paper in Cantonment, Florida, and a member of Woodbine Church in Pace, Florida. Michael is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Wilcox Lewis; a daughter, Sheena (Richard) Faircloth; a brother, Anthony (Cathy) Lewis; five grandchildren, Kinsley, Brycen, Jace, Grayson and Grant Faircloth; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Woodbine Church (5200 Woodbine Road) in Pace, Florida, with Pastor Jimmy Allen officiating. Please dress in casual attire including FSU apparel if possible, as this is how Michael would have liked his life to be celebrated. The family wishes to thank Noel and Casey of Stat Home Health Care for their wonderful and kind service throughout Michael's difficult journey. Their investment truly made a difference in Michael's quality of life. We would also like to show our appreciation to the members of Woodbine Church for their love and support during his time of illness. There were many days when your prayers and kind gestures lightened our load and lifted our spirits. It is difficult to fully express our gratitude for the difference you made. Michael loved family and had a special connection with his grandson, Grayson, because of similar health concerns since birth. Grayson faces many challenges including several surgeries to give him good quality of life. It was Michael’s desire to protect Grayson; therefore, in lieu of flowers, Michael would like for any remembrance gifts to be given for Grayson to have the best medical care available. Donations may be mailed to Woodbine Church c/o Michael Lewis Memorial Fund, 5200 Woodbine Road Pace, FL 32571, or online at www.woodbinechurch.org/give. All gifts will be used for Grayson’s recovery efforts. Thank you in advance for making a difference in Grayson’s life! Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.
