<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:26px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><em><strong>Julian C. &ldquo;Jay&rdquo; Bray</strong></em></span></span><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">, age 57 of Harper, Texas,&nbsp; passed away on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at his home.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">A Memorial service is planned for 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19th, 2020 at Cross Timbers Church located at 320 E. Main in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.&nbsp; Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and music will be provided by Cross Timbers Gospel Band.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Jay was born in Miami, Oklahoma on November 23rd, 1962 and was adopted by Ed and JoAnn Bray at age seven. He married Amy Bray on July 11th, 1998 at the Ponderosa Ranch in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Jay grew up in Konawa, Oklahoma where he ran track and worked at Streetman&rsquo;s Grocery Store. He joined the Army in 1984. He loved working with his horses, and being with his family.&nbsp; Jay&nbsp; was the light in the darkness. He was a hardworking, kind, funny, and selfless man. Everyone who met him loved him. He will be deeply missed.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">He is survived by his wife, Amy Bray of the home; his father, Rev. Ed Bray of Konawa; and one daughter, Nina Bray of Texas.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Verna Deathridge; grandmother, Granny Bray; and his mother, JoAnn.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Julian C. “Jay” Bray, age 57 of Harper, Texas,  passed away on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at his home.

 

A Memorial service is planned for 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19th, 2020 at Cross Timbers Church located at 320 E. Main in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and music will be provided by Cross Timbers Gospel Band.

 

Jay was born in Miami, Oklahoma on November 23rd, 1962 and was adopted by Ed and JoAnn Bray at age seven. He married Amy Bray on July 11th, 1998 at the Ponderosa Ranch in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
