Annie Frances Eadie Obituary

Video of Funeral Service https://youtu.be/VlD-_Yyztuw Annie “Frances” (Tattrie) Eadie, Clydesdale, Antigonish County, age 91, passed away, with her sons at her side, Sunday, July 5, 2020 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish after a brief illness. She was born in River John on January 26, 1929 to Annie (MacLeod) and Amos Tattrie. She moved to Clydesdale in 1962 after meeting and marrying the love of her life, Lloyd. Frances was employed as a lab technician in Halifax and then later worked in the Language Lab at St. Frances Xavier University. She helped Lloyd establish the family farm and still continued to have a keen interest in the family business and didn’t mind sharing “her thoughts” in the operation. Frances was always the life of any gathering and was up for all adventures thrown her way. Although Frances had certain ailments, she never allowed them to slow her down. She was a long-time member of the UCW at St. James United Church. Frances enjoyed weekly yoga, playing bridge twice a week- once with her long-time bridge buddies and also played at Club 60, her annual bridge trips with her bridge buddies, Saturday morning hair appointments, driving, daily crossword puzzles, reading avidly, her frequent exercise bike rides, adjusting to new technology such as her iPad and spending time at the family camp on Brown’s Mountain. She enjoyed all of these activities until recently. She will be remembered fondly by her son Steven and his wife Maria Barreau and granddaughter Karen, her son Brian and his wife Gina Clifton, granddaughter Skyler, brother Clifford and niece Tanya, niece Janet (Peter) MacKenzie, nephew Robin (Maggie) MacConnell, niece Beverly Hicks, nephew Alan Tattrie, niece Linda (Mike) Sullivan, and sister-in-law Eileen Tattrie. Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her loving husband, Lloyd, her brothers Harold and Lloyd Tattrie, sister, Helen (Tattrie) MacConnell, nephews Roland, David and Doug MacConnell and Robert and Charles Tattrie. Visitation Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5-7 pm in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant Street, Antigonish. Funeral service Friday at 11 am at St. James and St. Paul’s Cemetery, Cloverville Road. Feel free to bring a chair if you would like. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital or to the charity of your choice. “In life, in death, in life beyond death we are not alone… Thanks be to God.”
