Amanda Jean Crandall Obituary

Thursday July 2, 2020 the world lost a truly beautiful soul. Amanda Jean Crandall, a larger than life personality and perfect example of unconditional love. Amanda was born May 4, 1983 to Sally Jensen and Brad Crandall in Provo, Utah.

The oldest of 4 children she quickly and easily developed a sense of caring. Amanda graduated from Independence high school in 2001, shortly after she married and finally became a Mother to Corben David Martindale in 2004.  Being a Mother was the highlight of her life.

Amanda has always been known for her outgoing, eccentric personality. Always the life of the party, even when she didn’t want to be. A hippie at heart she was all things peace and love. She accepted everyone immediately and considered all who crossed her path a friend. Amanda faced many challenges in this life, all with a positive attitude and optimism. She never wasted a moment feeling sorry for herself and she definitely was not a quitter. Times when it seemed she faced impossible challenges, she surprised us all with a smile, a joke and usually a small gift or token of her love. Amanda’s creative mind never stopped. She was always making something cute usually to give away. She wrote beautiful words of truth and hope, Im sure we all know how good at fashion she has always been. No matter what she faced she never stopped smiling and most importantly she never stopped fighting.

Amanda is survived by her Children Corben Martindale and Emma Jean Cole. Mother Sally (Robert) Jensen, Father Brad Crandall, Grandmother Sara Millett, Brother Joseph Crandall and Sisters Saralynn (Sarah) Morgan and Gabrielle (EJ) Lopez. 6 nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held Wednesday July 8, 2020 at Wheeler mortuary in Springville Utah at 10:00am. Interment at Evergreen cemetery at 11:00am. A casual luncheon will be held in honor of Amanda at the home of her Mother. The family would like to thank all those who knew Amanda and offered help and support to her. In lieu of flowers the family has asked to make donations to NAMI (National Association for Mental Illness)
