<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">Jean Lucke (nee Swoboda) passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones on the evening of July 2, 2020.&nbsp; Jean was the beloved wife of James C. Lucke and mother to Debbie O&rsquo;Brien, Douglas Lucke, Pamela Lauer and the late Florence Britton.&nbsp; She was grandmother to Karina Happel, Jodi O&rsquo;Brien, Victoria Lucke, Dylan Lucke, Marissa Lucke, Adam Lauer, James Lauer and John Lauer.&nbsp; She was also great grandmother to Sophia Hartman and Trey, Darienne and Brenton Happel.&nbsp; She was fondly known as &ldquo;Aunt Sis&rdquo; to many nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> Jean was born in 1933 on Fayette Street in Baltimore to Bertha and Melvin Swoboda.&nbsp; She was the youngest of seven siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death.&nbsp; Jean spent her entire life in the Baltimore area.&nbsp; In addition to raising her family, she also enjoyed a long career with Baltimore City Public Schools as the secretary of PS #34.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">Family &amp; friends may gather at the family owned &amp; operated Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Wednesday, July 8 from 3:00-5:00 PM &amp; 7:00-9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 5976 Old Washington Rd., Elkridge, MD 21075 on Thursday, July 9 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville on Friday, July 10 at 11:30 AM.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-family: &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 700; text-align: center;">*DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, WE ARE ONLY ALLOWED 50 PEOPLE IN OUR FUNERAL HOME AT ANY ONE TIME.
