Encarnacion "Chon" Garcia Obituary

Encarnacion "Chon" Garcia passed away in Hollister, CA at the age of 79. He was born in McAllen, TX and lived in Hollister since 1980. He married his wife, Ramona Garcia in 1958 in Mission, TX. He worked as a foster grandfather at Calaveras Elementary for many years. He is survived by his wife, Ramona Garcia of Hollister, along with their three children, Linda Torres of Hollister, Oscar Garcia and his wife, Elissa Garcia of San Antonio, TX and Angelica Garcia Rodriguez of Hollister. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters, Byanca Torres, Linda J. Torres and Kayla Flores and 7 grandsons, Andy Torres, Crystian Torres, Daniel Garcia, Robert Rodriguez, Joel Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez and Julian Garcia, He also has 3 great granddaughters, Avarie Serna, Aleah Serna and Aria Perez. He was also survived by his sister, SanJuanita Rios of McAllen, TX and his brother Ramon Garcia of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian Garcia and Maria Garcia. He is also preceded in death by hs brothers, Isidoro Garcia, Alfonso Garcia and Alfredo Garcia and his sisters Mere Garcia and Francisca Lucio. The Rosary will be on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The services will be on Friday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Fr. Heibar Castaneda of Immaculate Conception Church as celebrant. Cremation will be followed by inurnment in McAllen, TX at LaPiedad Cementerio.
