Eddie H. Pierce, age 76 of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on July 2, 2020 in Canton. Eddie was born on May 13, 1944 in Massillon, Ohio to Joseph and Ida B. (Askew) Pierce. Eddie graduated from Washington High School. He married his loving wife, Barbara in 1965 and had 3 children. Eddie retired from Eaton Corporation as a machinist. He was considered an R&B/Motown music aficionado and loved listening to music and creating personalized CDs. He liked watching Ohio sports teams including The Ohio State Buckeyes, The Cleveland Indians, The Browns, and The Cavs. He always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Eddie is preceded by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Barbara, daughter, Tracy Pierce-Neal, and brothers, Parnell, William, and Bobby. He is survived by his children, Tiffany (Martin) Pierce-McKennon, and Terrance H. (Julie) Pierce, Sr., siblings, Al (Asrean) Pierce, Fletcher (Mary) Pierce, Floyd “Duke” Pierce, and Jan Potter, twelve grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Friends and family may come to call on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 3-4 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m.
