Joseph Michael Eddinger Canandaigua- Joe Eddinger, 24, passed away unexpectedly July 2, 2020. He was born November 28, 1995 in Rochester, NY and resided in Canandaigua, NY. Joe graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 2014. While growing up in Canandaigua, Joe excelled in and enjoyed playing hockey in the Canandaigua Knights organization as well as hockey and lacrosse for the Canandaigua Braves. He attended SUNY Albany and was a proud member of the UAlbany Great Danes Lacrosse team. Joe was a security guard for Rochester Regional Health, taking pride in his work at Clifton Springs Hospital. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Jessica Eddinger; sisters, Samantha Eddinger and Nicole Eddinger; adored niece, Juliette Ann Marie Olek; grandparents, Bill and Sue Blaker, Marjorie MacPeak (Tom Swift), Wes and Greta Stoddard, Cindy Stoddard (Dale Snyder). He also left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and “brothers” from his many sports families. Joe always had a smile on his face, was always ready to lend a hand and was a true friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed helping younger children learn the games of hockey and lacrosse – the smiles on their little faces was all he wanted in return. His proudest title perhaps, was Uncle Softy. Friends may call Friday, July 10, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A private service will take place on Saturday for family and close friends. A celebration of life will be held at 12pm on Saturday, July 11 at Finger Lakes Hotel, 6108 Loomis Road, Farmington.
