Lois Adele Harris Obituary

Lois Adele Harris of Centerville, OH - born November 29, 1930 in Assiniboia, SASK, Canada, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by family on July 05, 2020, at 89 years of age.

Preceded in death by her husband Willam Taylor Harris; parents Carl & Phoebe (Easton) Kindt; brother Bob Kindt; sister Marjorie Kindt; friend and sister-in-law Joyce Kindt.

Lois leaves behind three loving sons, William Kent Harris(Libby), David Scott Harris(Tricia), & Carl Mark Harris(Emily). And special friend and former daughter in law Susan Harris. Grandchildren Kate Dale(Aaron) Jonathan Harris(Lisa) Julie Harris, Jaclyn Brenden(Jaryd) Ellen Porter(Alex). Emily & Jillian Harris and Thomas DeWitt. Great grandchildren Nora and Audrey Dale. Audrey, Abigail and Blake Brenden. Sister Diane Marchand (Roger) and niece Allison Kindt, and nephew Dale Kindt.

Lois loved the beautiful Saskatchewan prairies where she was raised. The Kindt family still owns and works thousands of acres of Canadian farmland.

Lois’ biggest joy in life was her family. Her 1st born Kent, was named after her family name. David Scott born a couple years later. Then 10 years later, came Carl Mark. As family meant everything to her, Lois’ entire life was devoted to her loving husband and 3 boys. The family moved frequently for Bill’s job, but always together. Traveling the world, as a family. As they moved, they made a host of friends. Her kind loving demeanor touching so many. Lois and Bill made sure all 3 boys got back to their Canadian family farm almost every summer, making so many memories of love and learning.

Later, when the boys were getting married, she fully enveloped her new daughters. Loving them all. Out of those marriages came grandchildren. First Kate, then Julie, Jonathan, Jaclyn, Ellen, Emily, and Jillian. Bill and Lois loved being grandparents. They loved watching them grow, passing on their kindness and love.

Lois and Bill were highly involved with Antioch Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, PEO, and was a Mary Kay consultant.

Lois leaves behind a host of friends and loved ones. There is a hole that will be not be filled. But she leaves behind lessons of love, patience, kindness, compassion and forgiveness.

A future Memorial Service will be held, at the convenience of the family.

Memorial Donations can be made In Care of Lois Harris to Hospice of Dayton.
