Bobby Dwayne Allen USAF MSGT Ret, age 81, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his home in O’Fallon, IL. Bobby was born April 23, 1939 in Voca, TX. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 21 years on active duty and 20 years in civil service in Communications. He was the former school crossing guard at West Highway 50 and South Cherry Street, he lived to spend time with his grandchildren and great grand-grandchildren, he enjoyed watching sports, O’Fallon American Legion Baseball, English Premier Football League, going fishing or bowling, sometimes he just liked watching a good old military movie or western movie. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, William Roy and Willie Allen nee Behrens; brothers; Billy Wayne Allen, and Roy Gene Allen, niece Trina Allen. Surviving are his wife, Ann Allen nee Gunter; two children; Stephen (Karen S.) Allen of Belleville, IL, Tracey Allen of Belleville, IL, brother; Jim David (Kay Beth) Allen of Garden City, KS, five grandchildren; Stephanie A. Allen, Victoria P. Allen, Rachel Parr, Dakota J. Allen, Brooke E. Allen, 3 great-grandchildren; Riley Allen Young, Cambria Johnson, Lucas Flynn, niece; Karen Johnson, nephews; Kelly Allen and Keith Allen, and sister in-law; Mary V. Allen. Bobby loved O’Fallon and donations to the First Responders of O’Fallon made to the OTown Proud Charity would make Bobby happy. The family wishes that Memorial donations be made to the OTown Prowd Charity in Bobby’s name at Https://donorbox.org/otownproud Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com. As per the wishes of Bobby’s family he will be cremated, and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
