Edith Blanche Carrington Moore Orlando, Florida Obituary

Edith Blanche Carrington Moore

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Edith Blanche

Carrington Moore. Blanche, who was born in St Anne, Jamaica in 1917 passed

peacefully on June 6th at the age of 103.

Blanche was married to her beloved husband, Paul Carrington for 54 years.

Together they raised three children, a daughter, Angelita, and twin boys David

and Paul. They spent most of their years in Jamaica, but due to the political unrest

in the late 70s, with three teenagers, they migrated to the US and settled in

Orlando, Florida. Over the ensuing years, they served faithfully in their church

and community and were a blessing to all who crossed their path. Sadly, at the age of 73, after a battle with cancer, the Lord took Paul home.

Blanche continued to be a spiritual inspiration to many and at the age of 83 she met Mickey Moore and a sweet friendship ensued. He was a kind and gentle man and they were soon married and together carved out a simple yet meaningful life.

They had 7 years together until Mickey went to be with Jesus in 2007.

During her lifetime Blanche played many roles, first as wife, then, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and a trusted friend and prayer partner to many. Her light shone brightly in all of her roles, yet most notably, Blanche loved Jesus, plain and simple and her life exuded His love. She lived out her faith and made sure that everyone who crossed her path knew about her Savior.

Blanche is survived by her two sons, David and Paul Carrington, sisters Enna Sinclair and Valda Rose, grandchildren Brittany Williams and Zachary and Luke Harris, as well as great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great friends. She was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Services will be held at The Crossings Church, 13105 W Colonial Dr in Winter Garden, Florida on Saturday, July 11th at 10:30am.

Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, Florida.
