Emily Ann Billings 66, of Blanche,TN died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Athens-Limestone Hospital, Athens, Alabama. Born Saturday, December 5, 1953 in Pulaski, TN, she was the daughter of the late Johnie Yant and Mary Hill Yant. She was a member of Lindsey Lane Baptist Church in Athens, AL. Emily graduated from Elkton High School in 1971, then later in life she attended Tennessee Technical Center in Pulaski, TN and graduated as Valedictorian of her LPN class. While at the Tech Center she started taking college classes then went on to Calhoun Community College earning her Associates Degree (RN) finishing in the top tier of her class, later on she went to UAH in Huntsville for her BSN and MSN earning a degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Post Masters she went back to UAH for a Certificate in Nursing Education. When Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN, wanted to start a BSN (RN) program she was chosen to develop it in its beginning. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Billings, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Ted Billings, Blanche, TN; sons, Brandon Billings, Cain Billings, Blanche, TN and Tim (Pam) Billings, Dellrose, TN; 7 grandchildren and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held on July 5, 2020 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00P.M. . A Graveside Service will be held on July 5, 2020 at 4:30 P.M. at Blanche Cemetery with Associate Pastor Eric Pugh officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
