Kevin Thomas Obituary

Mr. Kevin James Thomas, 63, of Holts Summit, MO, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at home with family by his side. He was born on June 1, 1957 in St. Louis a son of James Harold Thomas and Jo Lucy Beinker. He was married on September 1, 1973 in Bonne Terre to the love of his life Barbara Ann House. He was a 1975 graduate of North County High School. He was employed as a mechanic with Callaway Nuclear Plant for over 30 years. Kevin was an active member of the NRA for many years, and enjoyed passing on his knowledge of firearms and safety to his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time; spending many spring days searching for mushrooms or arrowheads. He enjoyed capturing life’s precious moments and nature’s beauty with his brilliant photography. He also liked to scuba dive, snorkel, swim in the ocean and taking trips to the mountains and canyons. He was a culinary expert both in the kitchen and on the grill. Kevin was an excellent machinist. He was creative, making beautiful pieces through woodworking and metal working over the years. He could fix almost anything that was broken and had an amazingly beautiful mind. But most of all, Kevin cherished any time he was able to spend with his family. He brought so much light, love and laughter into the world and will be dearly missed. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara of Holts Summit; his daughters, Renee Kauffman (Nicholas) of Hickory Hill, MO, Christine Bondurant (Bradley) of Jefferson City, MO, and Rachelle Theobald of Tampa, FL; siblings, Cynthia Belk (John) of Bellville, IL, Timothy Thomas of San Antonio, TX, and Stacey Robertson (Big Jerry) of Saginaw, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Kauffman (Haley), Alexander Bondurant, Alexis Theobald, Brittney Fields (David), Braedy Kauffman, Zachary Bondurant, Beau Bondurant, Christian Theobald, Greyson Theobald, Gabriel Kauffman, and Noah Kauffman; great-grandchildren, Owen, Gideon and Elise Kauffman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
