Viletta H. Sims HUNTSVILLE, Alabama Obituary

Viletta H. Sims

To Every Thing There is a Season… A Time To Be Born Viletta Houston Sims began her earthly journey on July 11, 1932, in Madison County, Alabama. God entrusted her earthly parents, the late Mrs. Ophelia Houston and Mr. Larkin Houston, who preceded her in death, with His precious gift, to train up and to rear in the admonition and love of The Lord. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. Viletta matriculated from high school in Madison County, AL. She later further her education in Louisville, Kentucky matriculating with a Business Degree. A Time To Die After enduring sickness, she peacefully finished her journey on earth, July 11, 2020 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center. Viletta fought the good fight. She finished the race. She kept the faith. A Time To Love Viletta was united in holy matrimony to Master Sargent Johnny Sims January 21, 1955. She had a special bond with her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Viletta was a quiet spoken woman of few words, but she loved her family and family gatherings. She was always quick to greet family and friends with a big smile. A Time To Serve After retiring from the Business world, Viletta worked as a Care Giver at various Nursing Homes throughout Huntsville. She was a beautiful person with a quiet spirit. She loved providing care for those confined and in need of personal assistance. A Time To Mourn Viletta was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Williams and Elder Julia Mae Burks, one brother, Pastor James Houston. Precious Memories will be cherished by her siblings, Ms. Bernice Houston, and Mrs. Hazel Surles of Huntsville, AL; Two brothers, Mr. Major Houston, and Mr. Wallace Houston of Huntsville, AL., along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who are blessed to have known her. A Time Of Peace Viletta quietly and peacefully slipped away in her sleep. She would not wish for us to continue to grieve, but rather, take comfort in knowing she is at peace and resting in the arms of our “Heavenly Father.” We know “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. 2 Corinthians 5:8 A Time Of Tribute (Family) Viletta, the Master has called and you are much better. Until we meet again in the Spirit, we will always carry your love and your legacy in our hearts forever. God chose a Beautiful Pink Rose from His garden. He knew you were tiring as you journeyed and rewarded you with eternal rest. This is Not goodbye; just so long. Rest in Peace until we are all united again.
