Funeral service for Miss Cassie M. Patterson, 43, of Hokes Bluff will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday July 6, 2020 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Chapel with Brother Bruce Jenkins and Brother Jamie Holcomb officiating the service. Burial will follow the service in Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home. Miss Patterson passed away on Tuesday July 2, 2020 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Bowlin, and father William Patterson. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mandi (Eddie) Elliott and Mindi “Pooh” Patterson; step-mother Karen Patterson; chosen sisters, Nicole (Harley) Davidson, Jackie (Corey) Isom, Brandy (Brian) Stovall, Cassie (Kerry) Dodd, and Anna (Brett) Norman; nieces and nephews, Caress (Paul) Wellingham, Kendall (James) Smith, Sierra Bussey, Will, Haley Kate, and Conner Wellingham, Baylee, Blakely, and LJ Smith, Madeline and Brenley Davidson, Makenna and Lexi Isom, Allie Blanton, Dani Jade, Tripp and Asher Stovall, Ava and Chloe Dodd, and Javin and Kade Norman; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; close friends, Jerry and Trina Burns, and Nancy Newton. Cassie was a member of Bachelor Chapel Baptist Church. She was a 1995 graduate of Sand Rock High School, and a 2013 graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors Degree in the Arts of Library Science. She was the director of the Hokes Bluff Library for several years. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family ask to volunteer your time to sit with Hospice patients or make a donation to United Cerebral Palsy Foundation in memory of Cassie.
