Barbara “Bobbe” Love, 91, of Umatilla, FL passed away on June 6, 2020. She was born March 18, 1929 in Orlando, FL. She attended FSU during the time of its transition to a co-ed university. She returned to Orlando where she became a rancher and raised both cattle and horses for 30 years. In 1991, she moved to Umatilla and began volunteering with the Humane Society of Lake County where she was the president for 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Umatilla, the American Humane Society of Lake County, the Doris Day Animal League, PETA, World Wildlife Fund, and the Humane Society of the United States. She was a friend to all animals. She will be grievously missed and survived by her daughter: Nancy Gentry; grandsons: Justin Heath, Jesse Gentry; and nephew: Charles Phillips. She is preceded by her sister, Nancy Phillips and the love of her life, Bob Hildreth. A memorial service will be held at Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory in Umatilla, FL on July 11, 2020 at 1pm.
