<p>Danny Lee Surcy, age 66, of Wallace died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.</p> <p>He was born September 28, 1953 in Lenoir County and was the son of Helen Brown Cottle of Wallace and the late John David Surcy, Sr.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Surviving in addition to his mother, Helen, are his daughter, Allison Surcy Gibson and her husband, Tracy of Wallace; grandsons, Joseph Orellana and wife, Meg, Brandon Maldonado and wife, Bell and Danny Maldonado and fianc&eacute;, Lourdes; three great grandchildren, brother, John David Surcy, Jr. of Wallace; sisters, Ann Autry and Flossie Pickett; numerous extended family and friends that love Danny dearly.&nbsp;</p> <p>Danny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.&nbsp; He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.&nbsp; With his outgoing personality and loved for people, Danny never met a stranger.&nbsp; Danny will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.</p> <p>At the request of Danny, he will be cremated.</p> <p>You may share your memories and send condolences to the family by selecting our &ldquo;Guestbook&rdquo; above.</p> <p>Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wallace, NC&nbsp; 910-285-4005</p>

Danny Lee Surcy, age 66, of Wallace died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.

He was born September 28, 1953 in Lenoir County and was the son of Helen Brown Cottle of Wallace and the late John David Surcy, Sr.  

Surviving in addition to his mother, Helen, are his daughter, Allison Surcy Gibson and her husband, Tracy of Wallace; grandsons, Joseph Orellana and wife, Meg, Brandon Maldonado and wife, Bell and Danny Maldonado and fiancé, Lourdes; three great grandchildren, brother, John David Surcy, Jr. of Wallace; sisters, Ann Autry and Flossie Pickett; numerous extended family and friends that love Danny dearly. 

Danny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.  With his outgoing personality and loved for people, Danny never met a stranger.  Danny will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
