<p>Danny Lee Surcy, age 66, of Wallace died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.</p> <p>He was born September 28, 1953 in Lenoir County and was the son of Helen Brown Cottle of Wallace and the late John David Surcy, Sr. </p> <p>Surviving in addition to his mother, Helen, are his daughter, Allison Surcy Gibson and her husband, Tracy of Wallace; grandsons, Joseph Orellana and wife, Meg, Brandon Maldonado and wife, Bell and Danny Maldonado and fiancé, Lourdes; three great grandchildren, brother, John David Surcy, Jr. of Wallace; sisters, Ann Autry and Flossie Pickett; numerous extended family and friends that love Danny dearly. </p> <p>Danny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. With his outgoing personality and loved for people, Danny never met a stranger.
