Margaret Elizabeth Fox Morris

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Fox Morris, 90, died Thursday (December 10, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross following a brief illness. She was a native of Tampa, Fl but had lived most of her life in Waycross. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late George A. Fox and the late Lennie Stanley Rawls. She was the wife of the late Cyril Maynard Morris. She is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Marilyn Morris and her great grandson, Josh Morrison. Survivors include her three daughters, Janet Jacobs (Husband Alin) of Daytona Beach, FL, Brenda Sapp (husband Gene) of Blackshear, GA, and Bea Johnston (husband John) of Burlington, NC; four grandchildren, Melissa Morrison (husband Don), Stephen Sapp (wife Stacey), Jennifer Wallace (husband David), and Matthew Johnston; five great grandchildren, Ashley, Abbey, Maggie, Georgia, and Ashton; a step grandson, Marc Jacobs (wife Sheri); a step great granddaughter, Mila; a brother in law, Herbert Morris of Atlanta, GA; her lifelong best friend, Evelyn Walker of Waycross, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday (December 13, 2015) at Central Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday at the church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers and will need to meet at the church at 1:40 PM Sunday. Memorials contributions can be made to Central Baptist Church, 201 Ava St., Waycross, GA 31501, or the charity of your choice. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.com. Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margret was a dear friend for many years- Members of Central Baptist Church and involved with her in organizations and worship.

So sorry to learn of your loss. Margaret was always so nice. I remember her while I was growing up at Central Baptist Church and also while she worked for my father Ellis Johnson (J.S.Smith & Son). Will be praying for your family during this time.
