David Duane Holt, 49, of Colfax, NC succumbed to his battle with cancer on June 30, 2020 in his home surrounded by love as he entered his final rest.  David was baptized at Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church as a teenager and loved serving God with his talents there.  His leadership as Head Deacon for many years, serving on the church board, serving in the Pathfinder and Adventurer Clubs and any construction or projects that he could be a part of, was as much a blessing to him as it was to his church family.  He will be forever remembered for opening doors and welcoming everyone to his beloved church with a genuine smile and love for others.  David had a deep faith in God, told everyone he could about Jesus and loved serving the Lord by lending a helping hand to anyone he could.  David was a warrior and fought hard through life.  He established and maintained his own business from 1995 to present.  David loved the outdoor adventures, keeping the campfire stoked, participating with his son in CTO Youth Hunting Club activities, and especially spending time with his family on hunting and fishing excursions.  He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Karen, his daughter Cassidy (20), his son Dacyn (17) all of the home.  His parents, Keith and Ann Holt of Colfax.  His siblings Patti (Keith) Portmess of Colfax, Buck (Cathy) Holt of Stokesdale, Jim Holt of Stokesdale and Rhonda (Paul) Hodges of Colfax.  One nephew, Dakota and seven nieces, Kaitlin, Danielle, Courtney, Kayley, Kelsey, Kensi and Addi.  Three great-nieces, Sophia, Addison and Mackenzie.  The family will receive visitation at Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church on Friday, July 10th from 1pm to 3pm followed there by a memorial service and dinner reception.  David will be remembered for his love for Jesus, his family and his church family and will be deeply missed.
