Hilda Cody

MARSHALL - Hilda Tipton Fisher Cody, 64, of Marshall, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013. Hilda was born September 14, 1949 in Buncombe County. She was a retired school teacher of 27 years. Hilda taught at Brush Creek Elementary School and attended Biltmore Baptist Church in Arden. She was preceded in death by her father, Monroe Tipton; husband, John R. Fisher; and brother, Ted Tipton. Surviving are her mother, Armintha Tipton of Marshall; daughter, Holly Fisher (Raymond Crowe) of Marshall; son, Allen Fisher of Dearborn, MI; one granddaughter, Charlotte Fisher of Marshall; sisters, Judy Rigsby and Patsy Kuykendall; brothers, Doug, Bobby and Ronnie Tipton. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
