Johnny Gene Kendrick, 67 of Pikeville, KY passed away June 29, 2020. He was born May 19, 1953 in Pikeville, KY to the late Monroe & Rettie “Thacker” Kendrick. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four Brothers: Roger Dale, Bobby Wayne, Paul Dean and Clifford Kendrick. He is survived by four Sisters: Ruby (Bob) Perrine, Joyce Robinson, Susie (Larry) Coleman and Annette Kendrick; two Brothers: Jesse (Kathy) Kendrick and Jackie (Brenda) James; six Nieces and Nephews: DeWayne Collins, Angie Stevens, Rebekah Compton, Peggy Jones, Jessica Clevinger and Madonna Little; also a large loving host of Great Nieces and Nephews. Johnny was a Christian and member of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home beginning Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 6:00PM with a service starting at 7:00PM. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 in the Chapel of the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home at 11:00AM with burial to follow in the Kendrick Family Cemetery, Pikeville, KY. Pikeville Freewill Baptist will be officiating all services.
