Lola Jean Fairless

Lola Jean Fairless, age 89 of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 3rd at The Lighthouse Church with Bishop W.C. Roach and Michael Roach officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 2nd at The Lighthouse Church. Lola Jean Wardell was born May 21, 1931 in Hazel Park, Michigan to parents, Ernest Franklin Wardell and Frances Marion Anway. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1948. Three years later, Lola Jean would marry Wilbert Lee Fairless on October 6, 1951 in Pontiac, Michigan. Mrs. Fairless was a bookkeeper and worked for Oakland Sweets & Sundries in Pontiac and would later retire from Cameo Fabricating in Houston. The Fairless’s were evangelists for 25 years, sharing Gods love all over the United States. The Fairless’s would later move to Breckenridge in 2012 where they are members of The Lighthouse Church. Mrs. Fairless was very involved in The Lighthouse Church and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and quilting in her spare time. She loved playing the accordion and piano as well. She was preceded in death by one son, James Lee Fairless; her parents, Ernest & Frances Wardell; nine siblings, Ernestine, Marguerite, Betty, Robert, Richard, Joan, Don, Carol and Carl. Mrs. Fairless is survived by her husband of 68 years, Wilbert Lee Fairless, Sr. of Breckenridge; three children, Ernest Wesley Fairless & wife Shelly of Flushing, Michigan, Wilbert Lee Fairless, Jr. and wife Allana of White Lake, Michigan, Frances Jean Smith & husband, Don of Breckenridge; two brothers, Gerald Wardell and Duane Wardell, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Shannon Fairless, Jason Fairless, Chad Fairless and wife Kasey, Freddie Jenkins, Chasity Jenkins, Juanita Garcia, Brian Smith and wife Cassie, Chad Smith and wife Kandie, Lisa McCulloch; great grandchildren, Tyler Nelson, Peyton Nelson, Tristin Jenkins, Jasmine Jenkins, Christian Jenkins, Daniella Garcia, Kayden Garcia, Sianna Garcia, Natalia Garcia, Sebastian Fairless, Kenzie Fairless, Dylan Bare, Stella Fairless, Shia Fairless, Kellen Fairless, Kaleb Fairless, Tommy Smith, Savanne, Logan Smith, Christopher Giess, Jacob Giess; and great-great grandchildren, Bella Nelson, Royal Jenkins, Nirvana Smith, Reagon Smith and Teddy Giess. Memorials may be made to the United Pentecostal Church International and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
