Ronald Edwin Harper, age 77, of Hardy, Arkansas passed away on Sunday March 26, 2017 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ronald was born on February 7, 1940 to the late Edwin Harper and Josephine Schroeder Harper in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Ronald was a member of the Spring River Car Club and also served in the U.S. Air Force as an A2C. Ronald retired from his business of excavating and hauling in 2001. In 1993 Ronald donated his kidney to his wife. He loved his family and will be very dearly missed. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edwin Harper. Ronald is survived by his wife, Barbara Harper; son Edwin Harper and children, Nicole Brooks, Caitlin Harper, Chase Harper; daughter Veronica (Scott) Haverkampf and children, Elizabeth Fondren & Jessica Haverkampf; son Ronald (Becky) Harper and children, Madison Harper & Burgin Shelby; daughter Lila (Jason) Montgomery and children Allie Montgomery & Josie Montgomery; daughter Lisa (Edward) Rodriguez and children Kane Rodriguez & Jake Rodriguez; sisters JoAnn Davenport & Delores Ruhl; great grandchildren Mayli Brooks & Easton Brooks; and beloved dog companions Buttons & Bo. A memorial will be held with military honors on Saturday April 1, 2017 at Spring River Baptist Church located in Hardy, Arkansas beginning at 2PM, under the direction of Wortham Funeral Home & Cremation Oak Hill Chapel of Highland, Arkansas.
